ABOUT  Teplos-Top

We offer professional liquid heat-insulation coating - Teplos Top to companies engaged in apartment reconstruction and civil engineering to solve problems with thermal insulation of walls, roof and basements, non-residential premises, pipelines and various tanks.

Teplos Top has unique properties supporting thermal insulation of spaces, basements, tanks, pipelines. It can be also used instead of a thick layer of standard insulation. After drying Teplos Top forms THIN, STRONG, ELASTIC, DURABLE, NOT TOXIC heat-insulation coating.

Heat-insulation coating is available in more than 500 colours supporting designs of facades and interiors in different colours.

«Direction for Use»

Direction for Application of Heat-Insulation Coating “Teplos Top”

(Multipurpose)

“Teplos Top” is water soluble paint with special additives giving it pronounced heat reflecting and heat saving effect.

Application can be carried out on surfaces with temperature in range + 7° Ñ up to + 150° Ñ. Recommended temperature for product transportation and storage is not lower +5°Ñ.

Preparation of Insulation Coating

“Teplos Top” does not require special preparation, immediately before application it shall be stirred thoroughly.

·        Remove lid from the bucket. Break formed crust by dipping and lifting of flat blade with care in the centre on the bucket and along its walls in order to cover the crust with liquid.

·        Going on vertical movement of the blade, dip stiffened part of the product into the liquid, switch on the drill with mixing piece and start stirring of the bucket content slowly, mixing cluster with the liquid (to prevent rotation of the bucket, hold it by feet and knees).

·        Go on stirring till full dissolution of the crust and formation of homogeneous, <creamy> mixture without clusters and clots.

·        Transfer mixed product to clean bucket through filter with mesh diameter in range (0.5-1.0 mm), remove residual clots to prevent spray clogging.

·        Wet film thickness for single layer of “Teplos Top” –is not above 0.4 mm. At multilayer application dry each subsequent layer at least 6 hours at temperature 200Ñ.

ATTENTION!

Do not use high-speed stirring to prevent lost of heat saving properties. When drill is used for stirring speed of mixing shall not be higher 300 rpm.

Surface Preparation

It is smoothly applied on all types of surfaces: metals, wood, plastics, glass, concrete, brick etc. The surface shall be free of moisture and oil.

  • Surface to be insulated shall be cleaned from dirt, dust, paint, rust etc. (metal brushes and cloth) and degreased (any degreasing agent).
  • Metal surface shall be cleaned from rust with metal brushes to remove loose scale and shall be degreased. The degreasing agent shall be completely dried up.
  • Concrete and brick surfaces shall be cleaned from dust with brushes and wetted with water before “Teplos-Top” is to be applied.
  • When dried up, apply one layer of “Teplos-Top” primer on the surface, dry for 1 hour and proceed applying.
  • Wood surfaces shall be free of dust and, if possible, gum.
  • Plastic surfaces shall be cleaned with fine sand paper (to remove gloss), and dust and grease shall be removed.

Equipment

  •

“Teplos-Top” can be applied on surfaces by sprayers and brushes.

  • Apply insulation on small surfaces by dauber (from hog's bristles), air sprayer (compressor with pressure of max. 5 - 8 atm., sprayer nozzle 0.5 -0.8 mm).
  • Apply insulation on large surfaces by airless sprayer with capacity of min. 10 l/min.

Sprayer Preparation for Operation

·        Airless sprayer: preliminary supply clean water through the sprayer (about 2 litres), then transfer the hose into bucket with “Teplos-Top”. When water is spent and “Teplos-Top” is started to be supplied, direct the sprayer into bucket with “Teplos-Top” (use the nozzle with diameter of 0.5 – 0.8 mm). Both product and equipment are ready for application.

Wet film thickness is max 0.4 mm. Apply subsequent layers when the previous ones are dried up (refer to para. 1.5).

Product Application

  •

Before product application on any surface, apply the primer coat and dry it up (min. 1 hour at room temperature).

  • Primer Preparation: mix 1 kg of product with 150 g of water, and stir thoroughly. When using the primer, constantly stir it to avoid floating up light fractions of product.

Hot Surfaces

  •

When product is to be applied on hot surfaces with temperature of 80°Ñ and higher, use more liquid primer (per 1 kg of product - 250 g of water).

  • When product is to be applied on hot surfaces with temperature above 120°Ñ, apply first three layers of liquid primer (per 1 kg of product – 300-600 g of water), dry the coating up, apply 4-5 layer - primer (per 1 kg of product – 150-250 g of water), when dried up, the product can be applied.
  • Drying time of one layer on hot surfaces is significantly reduced (from 1 to 5 hours).

Inspection of Applied Coating Thickness

  •

Applied coating thickness shall be inspected when dried up completely:

  • micrometer 0-25 GOST 650788,
  • indicator 0.01 GOST 577-88.
  • layer thickness of 0.4 mm can be assessed by product consumption (0.35 kg per 1 ì2) or optical density (the underlayer must not be seen through the product).

Safety Requirements

·        When using the product, follow safety requirements according to SNiP 111-4-80, SanPin 6027À-91, GOST 20010, GOST 12,04,013, GOST 27575, and GOST 27574.
